One of the reasons it so long to relaunch Standing United is because I felt under qualified to speak to the intricacies of racism. After all, it was originally meant to help my boss facilitate an uncomfortable conversation with a team of 30 people that were 98% non-black. Plus the topic of racism is dense, complicated, and triggering -- I felt like there isn't enough reading/studying/practice I could do that could make a difference. That fear of failure, misrepresentation, and making things even worse paralyzed me for two years. Somewhere along the way, I realized that narrative spoke to my internal conflict with vulnerability that I've always struggled to identify with. Showing my hand and admitting that I am not perfect has kept me mentally imprisoned for longer than I know. I eventually came to that awareness and was able to admit that not knowing everything, especially around a subject as important as racism, does not make me less qualified but instead makes me human. I've learned that it's okay to let people see you exactly where you are at in your journey - that is what your humanism is. In fact, that transparency is how we can consciously solution and authentically connect. What is Humanism to you? What does it mean to
